LOL This is "kani-miso (crab paste / crab innards)" served with its shell, which is VERY suitable for Japanese sake (or guess it can utilize to pasta sauce.) If you had some interest in it, maybe you could try it at Japanese restaurant in NYC, then enjoy a kind of Japanese soul-food :)

蟹の胴体はもともと魚屋から始まったスーパーでゲットしたものですが、1個150円という破格値でそれなりに美味いものができ、侮り難しですw
後ろは、豚しゃぶです。鍋を水50：焼酎50で作っています。アルコール分を伴った蒸気により、食欲倍増ですが、「火気注意」かもしれませんねw
