for me, the colour doesn't add much, so B&W. But (a bit unusual for me) I think I'd bump its contrast a bit.

Thanks, Peter. My respect for your architectural photography makes your opinion all the more valuable. As for the contrast, I tried bumping it, but the regrettable side effect is that the dark areas get darker, losing detail. Hints?

Hmm, I know what you mean (got lots of those:-). The light is a bit flat, so it'll be hard. Sometimes curves help - maybe a half S in the lower quarter, straight middle, and the other half S in the top quarter?
